Question

Meso guard lvl 1 OR max? O.O

Level 1: MP -22, Damage Blocked: 79%, Duration: 126 sec

Level 10: MP -37, Damage Blocked: 61%, Duration: 180 sec

Its actually lose block effect from 79% - 61%, if you keep it a lvl 1
You should actually do better at boss runs right?

The %'s are the mesos you use of the dmg
For example if you get hit with 1000 with lvl 1 meso guard, you will lose 790 mesos,
but if it is max you will lose 610 mesos

So if you want to save mesos, you should max it :p

Forgot to say that meso guard, guards you from 50% dmg at any lvl. The %'s are only for how much meso you pay

Assaulter is a great mobility skill, aswell as a finisher.
If you really want Shield Mastery maxed, you could eventually take 2 points out of Pickpocket, even though you will get 10% less chance from monsters dropping mesos. In my opinion you should max Pickpocket, and leave Shield Mastery at 8, but well, it is your choice

The build that john posted is the best there is. The 100% shield mastery is not that good. U have 80% and thats good enough for shadowers. U will get fake in the 4th job and thats just to SMEXY <333333333333

Since dark flare isent crasy from lvl 18-20
It is 1200% in lvl 18, to 1300% lvl 20 MAX lvl

And i calcualted, As Shadower you really wont feel the 100% extra since,
most of bosses have lost alot dmg, so its actually only really usefull for
czak, HT, PB, etc
but even if PB hits you 20k it reflect 1300% would be 260k extra dmg thats nice
but 1200% would be almost the same it will be 240k dmg reflecting

1300% / 100 = 13, 13*20.000 = 260k
1200% / 100 = 12, 12*20.000 = 240k

And 20% extra in total defense from shield mastery, would be more usefull

You forgot to look at the cooldown time too.

As John said (And as I told you yesterday), there is a huge difference in the cooldown time from lvl 18-20, or even 19-20. But of course it is your choice, but it is not that bad, to be able to recast Dark Flare as soon as it expires.
But you seem to really want Shield mastery o.o anyway do as you want xD

20% more def will only give about 350 more def. It doesn't make much difference

I know the cool down, but dark flare is only useable when bosses hit you
with a high dmg, ye and cooldown is a bit more =)

20% more def is 20% more def in your total deffense, if u got 3k deffense is 600 more deffense right?
600def should be a big help

Why im asking that much is, that i think it sad that its not common to
max shield mastery without taking points from good skills

Of course you could also take out points of Flash Jump if you don't min the shorter distance lol o.o

U can also take out 2 points in Shadow Partner if u dont mind your dmg.....

Or get a Helm with the +2 all skills line (it works on all skills, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th job)

Ok thats even worse...

For the sake of the extra def from shield mastery.
Just remember to take in mind, that the more def you got the less dmg will you reflect to the boss from Dark Flare? I don't know if it's important to take in mind too.
Atleast that's my experiences from Power Guard

I havent noticed the damage being lower. I have reflected over 210k damage and only lost ~4-5k hp.

We even got SP enough for max hero's will + all the other skills?

I really dont know what to end up with maxed D:
What I know I'll max for sure is:
- Boomerang Step - Maxes at 30
- Assassinate - Maxes at 30
- Meso Mastery - Maxes at 10
- Fake - Maxes at 30
- Smokescreen - Maxes at 30
- Maple Warrior - Maxes at 30
- Venomous Stab - Maxes at 30

( I calculated 120-200 = 80 Lvls, 80x3 = 240 SP, and if you wanna max everything
you will need 255 SP = 15 SP missing :3)
Then What about those:

- Taunt - Maxes at 30
- Ninja Ambush - Maxes at 30
Hero's Will - Maxes at ??(some sites says 5, some says 7, and some says 10?????????????????)

I maxed every 4th job skill except ninja ambush (it sux)
